Les Voiles de Saint Tropez just celebrated its 10th anniversary. The weather was perfect, the collection of boats was spectacular, the setting unbeatable and the characters that Lynn Fitzpatrick, Daniel Forster, Juerg Kaufmann met in producing Classic & Modern Yachts in Saint-Tropez were unforgettable.







Friendly Tropéziens and international sailors recounted stories of La Nioulargue and Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez over the week. Some even added new chapters to the regatta's history. Their stories complement the local flavor, the landmarks, the fun-loving activities of the community and the annual sailing spectacle that celebrates the end of the summer in the Mediterranean. For the 10th year in a row, the Mediterranean summer sailing season came to a climatic end with Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. The spectacle, unlike any other, draws more than 300 classic and modern yachts, including the Wallys. Over 3,000 sailors were on hand from September 27 – October 4, 2009 to join in the fun.



Legendary yachts, which have been restored to perfection, and crews dressed to complement them, took over this jewel of the French Riviera and its marina. They raced in the Gulf by day and celebrated by night.



Special festivities during this year’s Les Voiles de Staint-Tropez include 100th year anniversary celebrations for Tuiga and Mariska and the gathering of five of Eric Tabarlay’s Pen Duick yachts.
