LVT: Azzurra and TeamOrigin Paired in Semi-Finals

As ranking leaders after the second round robin in the Louis Vuitton Trophy (7th to 22nd November), Emirates Team New Zealand (NZL) were today able to choose their adversary for the semi-finals. Skipper Dean Barker elected to race against Synergy (RUS), skippered by Karol Jablonski in the matches scheduled for 19th and 20th November which will see the first team to reach two points going through to the final. Francesco Bruni’s team Azzurra (ITA) therefore find themselves paired with Ben Ainslie’s Team Origin (GBR) in the remaining semi-final matches.

The four teams that did not qualify for the semi-finals will compete for fifth to eighth places over the coming days with BMW Oracle racing paired with TFS – PagesJaunes and Artemis racing against All4One.

Tomorrow is a lay day for all teams and racing is scheduled to recommence on Thursday 19th November at 9 a.m.

1 – Semi-final: Azzurra (ITA-90) vs Team Origin (ITA-99)
2 – Knock Out: BMW Oracle Racing (GBR-75) vs TFS PagesJaunes (FRA-93)
3 – Semi-final: Emirates Team New Zealand (ITA-90) vs Synergy (ITA-99)
4 – Knock Out: Artemis (GBR-75) vs All4One (FRA-93)
