After a day when racing was postponed due to light winds, the young Kiwi BlackMatch team continued their roll, defeating Damien Iehl of France 2-0 in the semis to go into the finals against Mathieu Richard. (BlackMatch finished last year's World Match Racing Tour level on points with Richard, but Richard took the third position over Minoprio.)

And BlackMatch did it today, Sunday 15th March (by 2 matches to 1) - their first World Match Racing Tour win at the first Tour event of 2009, being held for the first time in Marseille. It doesn't get any better than this - an AWESOME result!
