3rd Place at Match Cup Sweden: Seb Col and his Team are back

by Stephanie Nadin

This time, they are really back! Seb Col, Gilles Favennec, Christophe André, Christian Scherrer and Erwan Israel finally came back to their level.

The old stories are behind, and they will now be able to write the ones to come for the rest of their 2009 season on the World Match Racing Tour.

The semi-final was very close, as Seb and his team lost 2 points vs 3 for Mathieu Richard, in tricky conditions today on Marstrand's race course.

But they managed to re-focus once again for the “petite finale” against Damien Iehl, where they won 2-1. So they ended up on the 3rd step of Match Cup Sweden's podium.

Sebastien Col: “we are happy as we feel a lot better, we have managed to come back with success on this event, and this is what made it possible for us to come back at our best level, that we missed since the Monsoon Cup in 2008. We will now be able to continue the season with a different approach.”

Seb Col is now on his way to Lake Garda in Italy, where he will take part to the next event of the RC44 championship, which is held this week in Malcesine. He's also very happy to join Team Ceeref once again. Trainings will already start tomorrow afternoon!
