The quarterfinals in Bermuda saw Eric Monnin win over Blythe Walker 3-1, Ian Williams do the same over Johnie Berntsson (last year's Gold Cup winner), while Ben Ainslie and Adam Minoprio were both taken to the wire (3-2) against Torvar Mirsky and Mathieu Richard, respectively.
The results mean that Monnin, Williams, Ainslie and Minoprio are through to the semi-finals of the 2009 Argo Group Gold Cup.
BlackMatch Racing are guaranteed to return to the top spot on the World Tour as a result of the outcome of the quarterfinals in Bermuda.
