Dimension Polyant of Australia won the 50th 12 foot skiff Interdominion Regatta breaking a 20 year drought for an Aussie victory on New Zealand waters. The New Zealand Team convincingly won the John Brooke Teams trophy for the event which wrapped up in Auckland on January 17th.
Frankinskiff was second and Nuplex rounded out the podium finishers in third place at this year’s regatta. Auckland Sailing Club hosted the Championship.
The 12ft skiff is a development class sailed in New Zealand and Australia (New South Wales and Queensland). The Interdominion Championships is the major class regatta typically held in January, and alternating between Australian and New Zealand.
