Full Metal Jacket Racing win 6th Grade 2 Match Race in a Row!

FMJ Racing have won the 1010 4G grade two held out of The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club!

On the back of a great effort in Qingdao in the Extreme's FMJ came out with it all to play in the first match race event of the year! Racing in the harbour of Hong Kong, the city made for what can only be described as an amazing backdrop! The competition was world class with tour card holders Waka Racing and Ian William's GAC Pindar in the mix and also a lot of local talent.

After the round robin FMJ were sat in 2nd place behind Waka Racing. With the Waka boys choosing Maximilian Soh FMJ took on World number one Ian Williams. After a bit of yelling a few penalties a photo finish a t bone and some great sailing for the fans the score was 2-1 with FMJ advancing to meet fellow countrymen Waka Racing in the final!

The finals were not so tight with superior boat speed and cracking starts the boys were able to pull away from the Waka and take out the 1010 4G Match racing cup in the first time it's been run!

It was good to get back into the match racing and the team is looking forward to doing more this year!
