After the first two days coloured by light airs, the wind gods deigned to be more active in the bay of Quiberon today, the dazzling sunshine continuing to warm up proceedings.

In contrast to Friday, the Race Committee launched just two starts in the M34 series. On each occasion the French team were rewarded by a fine second place at the finish.
Outpaced by Courrier Dunkerque in the first race, after an average start and heavy controlling by Daniel Souben, Groupama 34 has conceded just one point in the overall ranking.

With the wind easing in the second race and a great many rotations, which Tanguy Cariou anticipated very well whilst keeping control of the team's direct rivals, Groupama 34 finished ahead of Courrier Dunkerque, the latter making a great comeback.

This performance prompted a proud response from headsail trimmer Matthieu di Russo on the team's return to the dock: "With Tugdual on the helm we're quick and we're in the right place with Tanguy calling tactics. As such our rivals are beginning to wonder what they can do to fight back..."

It's down to them to find some answers.

M34 ranking after the first 7 races minus the worst score:
1/ Groupama 34 with 11 points
2/ Courrier Dunkerque with 17 points
3/ Omansail with 26 points
4/ Bretagne Crédit Mutuel with 31 points
5/ Vox Sea with 40 points
