Racing finally got underway for the BMW ORACLE Racing team in Nice on Monday at the Louis Vuitton Trophy. But the good guys fell behind on the first cross to Azzurra and were unable to recover. It's the first race for the team, and the loss drops their record to 0-1.

Hamish Pepper, tactician on board, didn't sound too worried about the result today, saying it was just one of those things that happens in yacht racing.
"We controlled them at the start and everything was our way apart from that windshift... We got what we wanted at the start and Gavin (helmsman) did a good job. The guys did good crew work around the track, but it was just one of those days."

Two races are scheduled for BMW ORACLE Racing on Tuesday. First up, a match against ALL4ONE, then a race against Team French Spirit. Let's hope for some better weather!
"If the breeze works with us, we'll be ok," Pepper said. "I think we're probably already down to a single round robin and semis and finals, so every race counts."
