Port-Vendres and Sète, First Ports of Call Around the Med. for the Maxi Banque Populaire V

Just a few days after re-writing the record books with their record crossing of the Mediterranean in 14 hours, 20 minutes and 34 seconds, Pascal Bidégorry and his men are commencing their series of meetings with the public and clients of the Banque de la Voile (the Sailing Bank). The Maxi Banque Populaire V will leave the port of La Ciotat this evening for Port-Vendres, a journey of 115 miles which will take about 10 hours. They will arrive in Port-Vendres in the early hours of 28th May and be there until 31st May, and in Sète 3-6 June, to allow a large number of people to discover the world of the largest ocean-going trimaran in the world. In Port-Vendres the trimaran will be at quai François Joly, and in Sète she will be at the quai du Maroc.

The programme

The programme at each location is designed to satisfy the public of all ages. All the team of the Banque Populaire including Pascal Bidégorry, skipper of the Maxi, will be at Port-Vendres and Sète to welcome their sponsors and the public: from 28th May at Port-Vendres and from 2nd June at Sète.
