A stationary high meant a relatively light wind regatta for the Women’s Keelboat Nationals held last weekend in the Waitemata Harbour. This year there were also three Australian entrants. The overall winner was Jessica Smyth, with reigning champion Jan Dawson second and Robin Hilton third. Racing was always very close with top four boats all enjoying winning at least two races each.
SailRaceWin notes that Jess is already dominating the women's racing scene, having won the New Zealand Women's National Match Racing championships a little earlier in the year, at the start of her Olympic campaign.
