Vendée Globe : François Gabart to receive Legion d'Honneur

All the skippers from the Vendée Globe 2012-2013 will be received at the Elysée on Monday by François Hollande. During this ceremony, the winner, François Gabart, will be elevated to the rank of a knight of the Legion of Honour.

The skippers of the 7th Vendée Globe will be honoured at the Elysée on Monday. In the middle of the day, 19 of the 20 skippers (Sam Davies is excused and will not be present) will be received by the President of the Republi at 55 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

On this occasion, François Gabart, the youngest winner in the history of the event (in 78 days, 2 hours, 16 minutes and 40 seconds), will receive the Legion of Honour (knight).

L'ensemble des skippers du Vendée Globe 2012-2013 sera reçu lundi par François Hollande à l'Elysée. Au cours de cette cérémonie, le vainqueur de l'épreuve François Gabart va être élevé au rang de chevalier de la Legion d'honneur. 

Les skippers du 7e Vendée Globe seront à l'honneur lundi à l'Elysée. A la mi-journée, 19 des 20 solitaires (Sam Davies s'est excusée et ne sera pas présente) vont en effet être reçus par le Président de la République au 55 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
