The 2013 EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup rolls on with day one of the Delta Lloyd Regatta about to get underway in Medemblik, the Netherlands.
Four NZL Sailing Team crews including Olympic champions Jo Aleh and Olivia ‘Polly’ Powrie are in Medemblik for the five day regatta where racing is scheduled to start at 11am local time on Tuesday 21st May – just a few hours from now.
Aleh and Powrie returned to international competition just a couple of weeks ago opening their 2016 Rio campaign in Garda, Italy at the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup opening regatta, where the took the gold medal in the Women’s 470 event.
Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox will race in the Men’s 470 and with the 470 European Championships just around the corner – from 8-15 June in Italy – the double-handed sailors will be using this regatta to fine tune their boats and crew work.
Andy Maloney also won gold in Garda, and the NZL Sailing Team Laser campaigner will be back in action in Medemblik too. Team-mate Sam Meech is also lining up.

The EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup, which follows the ISAF Sailing World Cup Series, includes five top European events for Olympic and Paralympic Classes.
