They go into today with a lead of 14 points over AudiA1 powered by All4One (FRA/GER), but the battle for second and third is going to be close. The forecast promises a robust finale, with northerly winds up to 25 knots. In these offshore breezes there is the possibility today that the race officers will choose to take the fleets to the more westerly race circuit.

Of course the Kiwi champions will have their focus on the entire season. Regatta wins along the season are a bonus, the key to winning the Circuit is consistent finishes in the top third of the fleet in as many races as possible. In the brisk breezes expected today Emirates Team New Zealand have proven themselves a dominant force.

In both classes the current Audi MedCup Circuit Champions are in control. Puerto Calero (ESP) have a lead of four points in the GP42 Series which is also scheduled to have two races today.

The prize-giving is scheduled for 1730hrs local time.
