Extreme Sailing Series: Henri Lloyd Keeps Going to Extremes!

Henri Lloyd has announced its continuing commitment to the Extreme Sailing Series for 2010 as Official Technical Clothing Partner. The marine and leisurewear company is widely regarded as one of the market leaders in technical sailing and lifestyle apparel, having pioneered the development of fabrics, garment design and product development for over 45 years.

The company's extensive knowledge and experience of innovative fabric technology has been applied to the Henri Lloyd 2010 marine range and shall be worn by race officials and shore team on the 2010 Circuit.

"To have a brand of international recognition and stature as Henri Lloyd with us again is a great endorsement to the circuit. We are really pleased to continue the partnership and look forward to showcasing their apparel at our events across Europe this summer," commented Gilles Chiorri, Event Director OC Events.

To celebrate the continuation of the partnership, Henri Lloyd has five Extreme Sailing Series backpacks and caps up for grabs via the Extreme Sailing Series Facebook page. All fans have to do is to answer two simple questions, the answers of which can be found on the Extreme Sailing Series and Henri Lloyd Marine fan pages:

1. Henri Lloyd Question: In what year was Henri Lloyd founded?
2. Extreme Sailing Series Question: Where does the first 2010 Extreme Sailing Series event take place?

Closing date is Monday 24 May at 1000 CET and the five lucky winners will be picked out at random.

The first event of the 2010 circuit begins on 27 May: Sète, on the South Coast of France will see the international teams come together in a spectacular location, racing right beside the Molle (harbour walls) - the perfect shoreside view to watch all the action. Franck Cammas, fresh from his record-breaking circumnavigation in the Jules Verne Trophy will be joined on the startline by international sailing legend Loick Peyron onboard Oman Sail Masirah. Double Olympic Gold Medalist Roman Hagara will also join the illustrious line up with Red Bull Extreme Sailing and French emerging talent Yann Guichard, who came second overall in 2009, will join them onboard Groupe Edmond de Rothschild. More teams are due to announce this week.
