Audi A1 powered by ALL4ONE takes the 3rd place on the Marseille Trophy - Audi
MedCup 2010's second stage: a very nice result after the second place the team took at the Portugal Trophy in Cascais.
The French-German team's strengths are developing more and more: a good team spirit, very good cohesion and nice speed downwind speaking about performance, are part of the key points. But Audi A1 powered by ALL4ONE also has a great capacity to come back in the top of the fleet when conditions are changing, and this comes mainly from the strong team spirit. A real trust between the crew members reigns on board, which is something that Sebastien Col feels strongly when he explains: "when the conditions are tough and that we need to make tactical choices, I really feel all the team behind me when I need to make decisions which are not easy to take."

They said:
Jochen Schümann, Skipper and Sports Director: "yes we had some failures during the week, but we are pleased to be on the podium again and a third place is perfect for us. Finishing second and third is probably the most consistent result in the fleet so far, so we can't ask for more. We learn more everyday sailing as a team; we are a low-key group of people, but talented and experienced, so I think that makes us strong. I would say that our expectations level is real, so we don't shoot too high, and that makes it easier in the end to hang in and do what is possible, and we are trying hard."
Sebastien Col, Tactician: "It has been another great week for Audi A1 powered by ALL4ONE. After Cascais, we arrived in Marseille with a great enthusiasm and motivation. Finishing 3rd here in Marseille is a nice result. Quantum Racing won, they sailed really well. On our side we have been a little less consistent than in Cascais, so we will make our debriefing and work on that for the third event in Barcelona, so that we can improve. But looking at the overall results, finishing 3rd in Marseille is great, as we are the only team to remain on the podium for the two first events of the Audi MedCup, and we are satisfied of that."
Next stop for the Audi MedCup Circuit 2010 and Audi A1 team powered by ALL4ONE will be Barcelona, July 20-25!
