Luna Rossa, with two wins in today’s races, moves up to 6th place in the provisional ranking, with a total of 103 points.
Of the six races scheduled, five were carried out with the usual fleet race format, whereas the sixth and last was a match race. The course was positioned along the coast, few meters from the shore.
Team Luna Rossa’s results of the day are as follows: 1st – 3rd– 4th – 7th – 5th– 1st
In the match race the Italian team won against local team Oman Air, helmed by skipper Sydney Gavignet (FRA).
Max Sirena (Skipper): “We started and closed our day in the best of ways by winning two races; after the unfortunate results of yesterday the team reacted positively; the crew is still making some adjustments, but we are all giving our best, day after day.”

Luna Rossa ha vinto oggi due prove e risale di due posizioni la classifica provvisoria, portandosi al sesto posto con 103 punti totali.
Si sono svolte sei regate, cinque nella consueta formula di regate di flotta, l’ultima a match racing. Il campo di regata è stato posto antistante la costa a pochi metri dalla riva.

Nella regata a match race il team italiano ha battuto l’imbarcazione locale Oman Air, timonata dallo skipper Sydney Gavignet (FRA).
Max Sirena (Skipper): “Oggi abbiamo iniziato e chiuso nei migliore dei modi la giornata: vincendo due prove; abbiamo reagito bene dopo gli sfortunati risultati di ieri, l’equipaggio ha ancora bisogno di qualche assestamento ma stiamo tutti dando il massimo giorno dopo giorno.”
