Extreme 40: Speed Improving for Emirates Team New Zealand

Today we raced 5 more races in a 15-18 knot breeze. The fleet was sent out with a reef for the first race and after that it became optional for the teams as to race with one or not.
We started the day well with a 4th and then had a 6,6,5,6 for the remainder of the races. It was a good solid day although we are certainly not racing at the pointy end of the fleet as much as we would like. While our speed was better today relative to the fleet the top 3 boats are a clear click ahead and this gives them a good little advantage around the course.
