On the Sunday morning competitors arrived to be greeted by 35knot winds so racing was postponed till 10am. The race committee reviewed the conditions and decided to postpone further. After a frustrating wait it was decided that with the current and forecast wind conditions there was no option than to abandon racing for the day.
The prizgiving was held in the main room of the clubhouse and many teams stayed to congratulate the Hoosiers. Richard Cornah was awarded the GJW Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of the work he has done in setting up and developing the team racing academy at WKSC, and his continued dedication to team racing and the Wilson Trophy.
