Normandy Sailing Week: The Omanis in Great Shape

by Normandy Sailing Week media

Prior to the round the buoys racing scheduled from 12:00 hours on Le Havre’s race zone, and following on from a long, overnight course around the Baie de Seine, the provisional general ranking for the Farr 30 category racing at Normandy Sailing Week, saw the Omani crew take a 13 point lead over “Courrier Dunkerque”. The Dutch boat “Tu Delft” is on the third step of the podium.

This morning at 04:00 hours, the Farr 30 crews were feeling tired from the coastal navigation, but they were happy to be racing in conditions reminiscent of the Tour de France à la Voile. Hervé Gautier from “Csc Hec Ecole Navale” once again demonstrated his profound sailing knowledge whilst the Omanis showed that they’re another force to be reckoned with, when they finished second offshore!
