It’s the first day of racing at the 30th Delta Lloyd Regatta and the day has begun with all the right ingredients in place for a great day’s sailing ahead. The sun in shining and a nice breeze is already in place over the blue waters of the IJsselmeer. The race teams are already going afloat ready for the first starts at 11.00 and the sailors will soon be released from the shore.
In stark contrast to the wet, windy and cold conditions of the 2013 Delta Lloyd Regatta, this year the International Sailing Centre Medemblik has been enjoying warm days and light to moderate  winds. Today is expected to be another fine day with mainly clear skies and south-westerly winds from 11-18 knots, with temperatures rising to 25 degrees.
