A sunny breeze welcomed the twelve skippers coming from all over the world to sail the Grade 2 OM Match Race on Lago di Ledro:

Reuben Corbett NZL
William Tiller NZL
Przemek Tarnacki POL
Peter Nicholas AUS
Mads Ebler DEN
Jurjen Feitsma NED
Valerio Galati ITA
Nicolai Sehested DEN
Saverio Ramirez ITA
Dejan Presen SLO
Martin Boidin DEN
Sandro Cavallari ITA

The expected program is to sail a full round robin (thanks to the eight club J22) and then proceed with semifinals and finals.

Today we sailed 11 flights, totalling 44 races when the race committee decided to call the day.

As expected from such high level skippers the matches have been interesting and well fought; we had some minor damage on a boat - but nothing that cannot be solved in a few hours of work.

In the evening competitors, organizer and race officers gathered at the club tent to enjoy a "pasta party", prepared thanks to a tireless group of club members.

Note from SailRaceWin: At the end of the first day, Reuben Corbett's (NZL) Aon Racing is unbeaten on 7 wins, and Will Tiller's (NZL) FMJ Racing has 7 wins and 1 loss.
