Farr 40: European Series, Punta Ala - Nerone Wins

Sunshine and perfect wind conditions inaugurated the 2011 Farr 40 European Circuit this weekend in Punta Ala.
The event is Organized by the Yacht Club Punta Ala in collaboration with the Farr 40 European Fleet.
Eight races were sailed, and Owners and Crews were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery offered by the Elba Island and the surrounding hills.

After three races, on day one, NERONE was in the lead followed by FIAMMA and BARKING MAD.
On day two, NERONE maintained her lead, but the American boat, BARKING MAD, with Kiwi tactician Hamish Pepper, moved into second place.
NERONE was able to maintain her lead to win the series, with BARKING MAD in second and ENFANT TERRIBLE moving up into a closely contested third place on the final day of racing.
