Aon Racing found their stride on the second day of the Parnu sailing week, winning 5 straight races in a fresh breeze. This put the team in first place going into the semi-final, allowing us to choose our opponent. We chose to race the Brazillian team, helmed by Henrique Haddad.
Unfortunately the fresh breeze of day two was replaced by fickle and extremely light conditions on the final day, making for challenging racing. Aon Racing managed to recover from a 0-1 deficit to win their semi-final 2-1, setting up an all kiwi final against William Tiller. Unfortunately we ended up going down 3-1 in the finals, leaving us in second place. Congratulations to William Tiller and his team, who sailed well throughout the week and took a deserved win.

The next stop for the team is the Portugal Match Cup, where we will face a tough field of pro sailors in the 4th event of the World Match Racing Tour.
We would to thank our principal sponsor, Aon Insurance Brokers, as well as Club Marine and Allianz for their support. Thanks also to the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and our friends and family.
Aon Racing is Reuben Corbett (Skipper), Adrian Short (Main), Tom Blampied (Trim) and Tom Bentham (Bow).
