The second event of the 2013 season for M34 one-design series, this Grand Prix takes place over four days in Douarnenez, North-West Brittany, and forms part of the Iroise Cup, in the same way as the Grand Prix de l'Ecole Navale, which will be held just afterwards in Brest harbour.

A month on from the Spi Ouest France, which saw victory go to Courrier Dunkerque, with Groupama 34 and Sodebo runners-up, the circuit's top teams will be doing battle in Finistère. Surrounded by around sixty Dragons, twenty-five large boats (IMOCA, Multi 50) and the same number of kitesurfers, the likes of Cammas, Souben, Coville, Pahun and Troussel will benefit from an exceptional race zone, where they will initially race in a light breeze, which is set to build over the course of the afternoon as the thermals kick in.
As such, the setting will be coloured by sunshine and temperatures reminiscent of the month of May...

For this latest M34 event and after predominantly sailing a sports catamaran since the Spi Ouest France, Franck Cammas has surrounded himself with a team similar to that which raced in the bay of Quiberon. Of note though, and in a bid to prepare for the Tour de France, the skipper of Groupama is rotating certain members of his team, which this time comprises two new, young elements: Matthieu di Russo and Malo Bessec.

The crew of Groupama 34:
1/ Franck Cammas, skipper and helmsman
2/ Tanguy Cariou, tactician
3/ Fabien Henry, mainsail trimmer
4/ Matthieu di Russo, genoa trimmer
5/ Arnaud Jarlégan, spinnaker trimmer
6/ Malo Bessec, pitman
7/ Erwan Israël, midbow
8/ Christophe André, bowman

1/ Courrier Dunkerque
2/ Groupama 34
3/ Sodebo
4/ Ile de France
5/ Bretagne Crédit Mutuel
6/ Nantes St Nazaire
