The first day of racing in the Olympic Garda Trentino Week 2013 ended yesterday, with the usual performance from top sailors and some surprises on Lake Garda.
Three races were sailed for every class , except for the Finn, who managed to race only one.
The second day of racing started this morning at 12.00 for all classes, while the Finn were seen on the race course at 8:30 this morning.
While waiting for the results on day two of the Garda Trentino Olympic Week, 2013, We see how the races took place yesterday for the laser, Radial and Finn.
In the Laser Standard Australia's Tom Burton,, current world number one scored a second, first and a sixth place. He was closely followed by Croatian sailor Daniel Mihelic, who won the first race, then scored a sixth and a third in the last race of the day. .In third place overall, France's Jean Baptiste , started with a tenth place in race one , and was then able to catch up with a fourth and a first place in the next two races.
The first Italian Ranked sailor is Enrico Strazzera, in tenth place, overallwith a fifth, a sixth and unfortunately a nineteenth place in the third race, which excludes him from the podium after the first day of racing.
For the Laser Radial, the Finnish champion sailor Tuula Tenkanen scored a third, fourth and a second. Tina fMihelich, follows next with two guns in the first two races but ended up with an eight place in the third and last race of the day. Annalise Murphy of Ireland, finished of with a ninth, second and first. Placing and is currently third overall.
In The Finn class only one race was held and was won by Filippo Baldassari, followed by estoniasDeriss Karpak and turkishsailor. Alican Kayar. Italian, sailor Giorgio Poggi finished 4th.
The Garda Trentino Olympic Week 2013 is organized by the Consortium "Vela Garda Trentino", which brings together the following sailing clubs : Circolo Vela Arco, Riva Fraglia, Circolo Vela Torbole, Torbole Surf and FVM. Riva del Garda, Torbole and Malcesine.
