Cat 3 inspections for Multihulls

Tim Clissold has been appointed by Yachting NZ primarily as a safety inspector for Multihulls.

Tim lives in Warkworth, and will be visiting Auckland for inspections on set days. He is very experienced with cats and tris. He says: “Safety for this race is a major concern for all of us I am sure. So I will be looking at more than the tick sheet of safety equipment and making sure the structure of your boat is sound. Now is the time to repair any stressed areas that have been nagging in the back of your mind. Also, it is your responsibility to have a reefing system that works, and systems that adequately support the rig, to give you steerage and control to get you off a lee shore and home safely. Good luck with your pre race preparations!”
