For the second event of the season, we take up with the same players and start over again. And though there were just eight M34s on the start line for this Grand Prix Guyader, part of the Iroise Cup, the quality and the level of play proved to be very high. After the first three races, Groupama 34 is one point ahead of the Dunkirk team, whilst the boat in third place in the Spi Ouest France, Sodebo, completes the provisional podium.
A wind of 8 to 12 knots, the sun playing hide-and-seek with the clouds and the typical chop of the bay of Douarnenez, such were the sailing conditions for the M34s, the Dragons and the other multihulls, which included two MOD 70s and one maxi. The latter just so happens to be the former Groupama 3, which was sailed today by Armel Le Cléach.
In the M34 category, the two race winners, Groupama and Dunkerque, both sailed well and boast a good lead. However, each time, the battle for second place was very intense, with some great performances put up by Sodebo, Nantes St Nazaire and Oman.
Some of the other competitors had a lot less pizzazz, notably Bretagne Crédit Mutuel Elite, Ile de France and the Swiss team from Geneva, who had performed a lot better in La Trinité.

Pour la deuxième épreuve de la saison, on prend les mêmes et on recommence. Et s'ils ne sont que huit M34 sur la ligne de départ de ce Grand Prix Guyader de l'Iroise Cup, la qualité et le niveau d'engagement est très élevé. A l'issue des trois premières manches, Groupama 34 devance les Dunkerquois d'un petit point et le troisième du Spi Ouest France, Sodebo, complète le podium provisoire.

En M34, les deux vainqueurs de manches, Groupama et Dunkerque se sont à chaque fois imposés avec une belle avance. Et chaque fois, la lutte pour la deuxième place a été très intense avec de belles performances de Sodebo, Nantes St Nazaire ou Oman.
D'autres concurrents ont été beaucoup moins en verve, notamment Bretagne Crédit Mutuel Elite, Ile de France et les Suisses de Genève qui étaient beaucoup plus en verve à La Trinité.
