Nika team finished 5th overall, behind Aqua, Ceeref, Katusha and Artemis. Very good result with consistent series during 5 racing days.
Nika team did excellent job pushing really hard every race from start to the finish line. In very different wind and sea state conditions, from jib 1 to jib 3, we fell fast and competitive, upwind and downwind. Last 3 events (Worlds,Oman and Trapani) we improved boat handling, that was our weakest point. Training before Worlds in Croatia and before Trapani start to pays off. With 6th at the Worlds, 4th in Oman and 5th in Trapani, Nika team start to feel confident on the race course and eager to improve overall performance. There are still a lot of things to improve and we slowly change our focus from big picture to smaller details.
It's privilege to be part of RC44 circuit, to race against and learn from the best in the world. And of course, to show them what we can achieve on the race course.
Trapani was great venue, great place to sail and great place to visit. We enjoyed every moment there, and hope to return in Trapani in the future.
