Extreme Sailing Series : Highlights of Act 3 in Qingdao, China

The former Olympic city of Qingdao China welcomed the fleet for Act 3 of the Extreme Sailing Series, where a new name joined the global roadshow - Series Main Partner Land Rover. Under the impressive skyline of the city, local boat China Team joined the fleet for four days of racing from the 2-5 May at an event that saw action, drama and some passionate sailing. Challenging for the Act win right until the final leg of the final race were Alinghi and The Wave, Muscat and ultimately China saw the return to form of the defending champion, who also raced in Qingdao in the Olympics in 2008, Leigh McMillan.



The iconic British brand Land Rover has announced a three-year sponsorship of the global Extreme Sailing Series as Series Main Partner, and celebrated the launch of the partnership with the unveiling and naming of their Land Rover branded Extreme 40, which made its world debut at Act 3 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Qingdao and will be used as a platform to host VIP and media guests.
