Audi MedCup: Synergy Still Second Overall in Sardinia Trophy

Synergy finished coastal race at fifth place and still holds the second position overall in TP52 standings in Cagliari’s regatta.
Long coastal race was held on Thursday at Region of Sardinia Trophy, the last event of the year in Audi MedCup series. The special feature of this competition is a 1.5 coefficient. All points scored multiply by 1.5.
Synergy Russian Sailing Team was consistent in the coastal. The crew was riding seventh position after rounding the first mark, but then Russian sailors gained some speed and climbed to fourth spot. At the last run Synergy was overtaken by Artemis and finished at fifth place. This result helped Synergy to stay at second place overall in TP52 class standings for the regatta.
Matador won coastal race after leading over the whole distance. This team made its overall lead even stronger. The difference between second place holder Synergy and Matador is 11 points. It’s still 4 races to go at the regatta.
